NESA APPROVED PD WORKSHOPS, NSW

Your first years of teaching shouldn't feel like survival mode.

You didn't become a teacher to feel like this. You wanted to make a difference. But instead you’re crying in the staff toilets, dreading parent emails, your class feels out of control, and keep wondering if you've made a terrible career choice. I've been where you are. Let me show you the way through.

THE REALITY

You're not failing. You were just never shown.

You’ve spent weeks planning lessons, managing behaviour, fielding parent emails, and quietly wondering if you’re doing it right. Nobody taught you how to handle any of this. You were expected to just figure it out.

Nearly half of new teachers leave the profession within five years — not because they weren’t passionate enough. Because no one gave them the right tools early enough.

That was the reason I built The Mentoring Academy. To close the gap.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

You don’t need more theory.
You need strategies that actually work.

You don't need more theory. You need practical strategies that actually work in your classroom. These programs are built for:

FOR TEACHERS

New teachers in their first 1–5 years in NSW classrooms

Primary or secondary teachers, any subject area

Feeling overwhelmed by behaviour, workload, or parent communication

Tired of generic PD that doesn’t translate to the classroom

Ready to stop surviving and actually feel in control of their classroom

FOR SCHOOL LEADERS

Principals and APs looking for high-impact, NESA-approved PD for early-career staff

Schools investing in retention before burnout costs them another good teacher

Leaders who want practical training, not theory their staff will forget the next day

If you saw yourself in any of those lines — keep reading.

WHAT TEACHERS SAY

Hear from teachers who've been through it

"I came in convinced I was going to quit by the end of term. Marina’s workshop gave me three things I could do the next morning — and by the end of the week my class felt different. I’m still teaching, and I’m not dreading Mondays."

Sarah C.

Year 4 teacher · 2nd year in the profession

"Every PD I’d done felt like theory. This was the first one where I left with actual scripts, actual systems, and a parent email template I’ve used twice already. I highly recommend it."

James M.

Year 9 History · 3rd year in the profession

"Day plans and lesson plans felt beyond me. The templates and strategies Marina provided feel so much more manageable. If a colleague asked if this PD was worth their time, I'd say yes, yes, yes."

MEET YOUR MENTOR

I'm Marina, a practising NSW teacher with over 15 years in the classroom across leadership, curriculum, pastoral care, HSC marking and NAPLAN marking.

IMG_2290_edited.jpg

I built The Mentoring Academy because I've been exactly where you are. Early in my career, I faced the same pain: behaviour I couldn't manage, a workload that felt endless, parents I didn't know how to talk to. No one taught me any of this. I had to figure it out the hard way.

Now my mission is to make sure new teachers don't have to. I'm not a consultant looking in from the outside. I'm still in classrooms, still dealing with the real day to day concerns. The strategies I teach are the ones that actually work, because I'm using them every week.

If you're struggling, it's not because you're not good enough. It's because no one has shown you what to do yet. I'd love to change that.

FAQ'S

You don't have to figure this out alone.

Start with a free 10-minute phone call. No pressure, just a real conversation about what's going on in your classroom and what might actually help.

If a workshop isn't the right fit, I'll tell you. The point is to get you the right kind of support.
